Tender, sweet and rich with a creamy and rich texture, vegan cheeses such as Parmesan and Brie can be a bit of a challenge to get through.
And it’s not a bad thing, said Dr. Joanna Gittelman, co-author of Vegan Healthy Diet Foods.
But it can be challenging to find vegan cheesecakes that don’t contain a lot of dairy or animal products.
“Vegan cheesecaks are the perfect example of a product that has been developed to appeal to vegans who don’t want to compromise on nutrition and taste,” she said.

The good news is that there are plenty of vegan cheese recipes that are easy to make, including cheesecake puffs, bolognese and quiche.
But many of these recipes, such as the creamy cheese puff and the creamy quiche, can be made vegan by substituting eggs for milk.
Gittelmans list of healthy vegan cheesespuffs and bologna recipes includes: vegan bologne, vegan cheese, vegan brie, vegan cream cheese, and vegan cream puff.

“It’s not easy,” Gittels said.
“But with the right recipes, you can make a veggie cheesecake that is super creamy and flavorful, and very low in calories.”

If all of these cheesecak recipes are too hard, you could also try substituting egg whites for milk, and using egg substitutes like white, white rice or quinoa, which contain a protein and fat.

Vegan bread and rolls are easy and delicious to make.
The vegan gluten-free loaf is gluten- and grain-free, and you can even make vegan gluten bread at home with a few ingredients.

Try vegan coconut chocolate chips or vegan caramel ice cream.
