A new documentary from MTV News is out on Monday, revealing the true secrets of how green tea is made, including the diet you should follow for the rest of your life.
The docu-series, Aa Diet For Life, was made by documentary filmmaker and author Chris D’Amato and features interviews with experts from around the world, including Dr. Stephen Riddell, former head of the American Association of Dietitians and Nutrition.
“People are often really skeptical of any dietary changes because they think it’s all going to end in disaster,” D’Amely told The Huffington Post.
“We wanted to show people the truth about green tea, and this documentary tells you exactly how to do it safely, with good results.”
Green tea is an essential nutrient, which has a calming effect on the body and helps prevent many chronic diseases.
The plant’s unique bioactive compounds, called flavonoids, also have numerous health benefits, including helping to protect the liver from oxidative stress, and help protect against heart disease, cancer, arthritis and other ailments.
According to the National Institutes of Health, flavonoid supplements can help reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol and improve blood sugar levels, while also helping to lower inflammation and oxidative stress in the body.
“The key to all of this is that you eat enough of green tea,” Darragh D’Ancona, one of the filmmakers, told The New York Times.
“It’s very important to eat green tea.”
Aa D’Angelo explains how to make green tea at home and with the help of an herbalist, in this YouTube video by The GreenTea Project.
D’Allonzo is also the author of a book called Green Tea and the Way of the Green Tea, which explains how you can make your own green tea and how to enjoy it for as long as you like.
The book features a recipe for the best tasting green tea in the world.
“I think there are so many people out there who are doing this and it’s great,” Dallonzo told HuffPost Live.
“But you know, if you’re a health nut, this is one of those things you’re going to love and you’re just going to have to go for it.”
Green Tea And The Way of The Green Peacock also includes tips for making green tea that can help you feel like you’re eating healthy, even if you aren’t.
Dallanzo and D’Abelli also say they are grateful to their fans for helping make this documentary.
“Our goal is to make this information accessible and accessible for everybody and I think this is a very important aspect,” Dalla told HuffPost.
“For some of the people who are really into green tea — the ones who are passionate about it, the people whose families have had health problems because of their green tea consumption — I think it is really important that they understand that green tea has all these health benefits and they can get them without spending money on a fancy teapot.”
Green Pea and Tea: The Secrets of Green Tea will be available on MTV News on Monday.
